Streetable Camber Plate

Description of the product
The
advantage of all camberplates is that they eliminate
lateral deflection of the upper strut mount under hard
cornering, which can lead to a camber change of over 1/2
degree. The other main benefit is the ability to
quickly and easily adjust the camber. The disadvantage,
though, is that the spherical bearing is often rigidly
mounted to the housing, providing an extremely harsh
ride for street driven vehicles.
Dynatech’s unique, Streetable Camberplates (patent
pending) use polyurethane bushings to carry the vertical
loads, while still maintaining zero lateral deflection
as with racing camberplates. This gives a streetable
ride that is nearly identical to that with the factory
strut mount. Compared to other camberplates, the
Dynatech design provides a much better ride, but also
greatly extends the life of the spherical bearing. We
also seal the top of the camberplate against dirt &
moisture to further ensure long life.
Streetable Camberplates are not just for street use! By
dampening harshness and vibration, the Dynatech design
will allow you to use stiffer spring and shock settings
on track-only cars. Shock adjustment is normally
dialed-in as stiff as possible, stopping just short of
chatter on the roughest part of the track. Dynatech’s
Streetable Camberplates allow even stiffer shock
settings, since the harshness is not transmitted to the
chassis, and stiffer springs as well.
For
dual purpose street/track cars, we recommend adjusting
the Camberplates to the full outboard setting, and then
align the car to -.50/-.75 degrees camber for normal
street use. On the weekend, adjust the camberplates to
the inboard setting, dialing in –2.75 degrees camber for
serious competition.
Streetable Camberplates are manufactured under
exclusive license by Dynatech Motorsports, Inc, using
technology supplied by Dynamik Vehicle Technologies,
Inc.
